Valerie Dawn (Henderson) Davidson - wife, mother, and dear friend to all - passed away on March 22, 2018 after a long battle with multiple illnesses. Valerie was born on November 7, 1969 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Sebron Edgar and LaWanna (Mair) Henderson. She was the oldest of five children, all of whom she loved dearly.
Valerie was raised in West Jordan, Utah, graduated from West Jordan High School, then received her Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education from Utah State University. She served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints to Hawaii and developed a lasting love for the people she served and the Polynesian culture.
She married Carson Lee Davidson, her high school sweetheart, on December 17, 1993 in the Salt Lake City Temple. They were blessed with two beautiful daughters Julie Carole and Megan Chloe, who were the center of her life.
She had many interests including piano, color guard, teaching, crafts, but mostly serving others — especially her family. Church callings and genealogy became her passions.
Valerie is survived by her husband Carson Lee Davidson, their two daughters Julie (Cody Klingler) Hatch and Megan Davidson, mother LaWanna Henderson, three sisters Michelle (Keith) Terry, Kristin (Sesa) Akeripa, Stephanie (Tim) Cottle and brother Curtis (Kim) Henderson, grandfather Veral Mair, thirteen nieces, and fourteen nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father, nephew, two grandmothers, and grandfather.
A viewing will be held Tuesday March 27, at 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the Spry Funeral Home located at 2411 Memorial Pkwy NW, Huntsville Alabama. Funeral Services will be held on Friday March 30, at 12:00 pm at the LDS chapel located at 10200 South 4000 West in South Jordan, Utah with a viewing at 10:00 am.
