William Allen Moon

Mr. William A. Moon 87, of Huntsville, AL passed away on Monday, November 4, 2019. Mr. Moon is a Veteran of The United States Army and retired from NASA after 40 years of service. He served many years as a deacon in the church and other various church positions.  He spent many years serving his community as a volunteer with Huntsville Hospital and The Salvation Army.

He is preceded in death by his brother John King Moon. 

He is survived by the love of his life of 65 years, Mrs. Ruth Swinford Moon, daughters: Deborah (Dennis) Thompson, Amy (Phillip) Quillen, Son Michael (Kim) Moon, granddaughters: Harmony (Bryan) Moon, and Jessie Moon, grandson Nathan Pinson, great grandson Michael Moon Coley, sister Nancy (JW) Whitworth, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at University Baptist Church on Thursday, November 7, 2019 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. Services will follow the visitation at 12:00 pm with burial to follow in Huntsville Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to The American Heart Association or The Salvation Army.
