Alvis “Ray” Brooks, 79, of Huntsville, Alabama passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2025. Ray was born on August 17, 1946 in Madison County AL to Alvis and Elsie Brooks.
Ray proudly served his country as a United States Navy veteran for four years. Following his service, he enjoyed a long career of 31 years and retired from PPG Industries in Huntsville, Alabama.
He was preceded in death by his beautiful and loving wife, Brenda West Brooks.
Ray loved his family with all his heart, especially his Great-Grandbabies, they are his world. He is dearly loved and will be missed beyond words. Ray is survived by his daughters, Lucinda Stallions (David), Angel Moore (Chris), and his son, Max Brooks (Stephanie). He is also survived by his Grandchildren: Shane Moore (Peyton), Loren Moore (Christopher), Nickolas Moore, Dustin Davis, and Breanna Reynolds (Jessy). His Great-Grandbabies are Bentley, Tanner, Faith, Greyson, Brendlyn, Chase, and Haylee. The family takes comfort in knowing Ray is reunited with his beloved wife Brenda.
Services will take place at Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville on Tuesday, December 9, 2025. Visitation will be from 1:00pm to 2:00pm, followed by the funeral service at 2:00pm. Interment will immediately proceed at Huntsville Memory Gardens, with Scott McFarlen is doing the honors.
