Anne Mason Pettus Ondrak, 85 y/o, of Huntsville, Alabama, after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s Disease, passed away peacefully in her home on November 10, 2025.
Anne was born and grew up in Lawrenceburg, TN. She and her husband built a life and a large family in Huntsville, AL. She was a mom to everyone who needed one. Every foster child who walked through our door, every friend who needed a safe place, every person who just needed to feel loved – she welcomed them all. Her laughter, strength, and ability to make everyone feel seen and cared for will be greatly missed. We are grateful for a full life well lived. Our hearts are full, but we do not grieve as the world does. She is with our Savior Jesus Christ, in her right mind and whole body, and we will see her again.
Anne was proceeded in death by her mother and father, Arnold and Agnes Pettus, her brother Kenneth Pettus, and her loving husband, Benedict T. Ondrak. Survived by her children and spouses; Tonya Ondrak, Maria and Paul Barrios, Benedict and Joey Ondrak, Angela and Chris Willis, and Laura and Lafero Ralph, as well as thirteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and numerous foster children.
