Barbara Pearl (Haynes) Jones

Barbara "Barb" Jones (née Haynes), 77, passed away on March 19, 2025, in Huntsville, Alabama.

Born on May 13, 1947, in Chuckey, Tennessee, Barb grew up with a love for learning and a deep sense of compassion for others. She pursued her education at Washington College Academy in Limestone, Tennessee, before continuing her studies at East Tennessee University in Johnson City and later at the University of Alabama in Huntsville.

Barb was a woman of faith whose devotion to helping others was evident throughout her life. She was an active member of both First Presbyterian Church and Hope Presbyterian Church in Huntsville, where she found great joy in participating in outreach programs. Her kindness and generosity touched many lives as she dedicated herself to serving those in need.

Creativity was another hallmark of Barb’s life. She had a passion for cross-stitching, candle-wicking, making stained glass figures, cake decorating, and cooking. Whether crafting intricate designs or preparing meals for loved ones, she poured her heart into everything she did.

She is survived by her beloved husband of over 57 years, Bill Jones, and her sister Jayne Haynes.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Helen Haynes, as well as her sister Nancy Haynes.

A funeral service will be held on March 29, 2025, at Spry Funeral Home, located at 2411 Memorial Parkway NW in Huntsville, Alabama. Visitation will take place from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by the service at 2:00 PM officiated by Pastor Christie Ashton of Hope Presbyterian Church.

Barb’s unwavering faith and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those who loved her.
