Betty Joyce (Sharp) Bartlett

Betty Joyce ( Sharp ) Bartlett, 94, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother, departed from this Earth on Monday, April 13, 2026.

“Granny “ as she was affectionately known, was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Jim and Mattie Lou Sharp. One brother, five sisters and one son, born sleeping, departed this world before her.

Granny Bartlett is survived by daughter, Betty Ruth Gulley (David) and their children, Tammy Johnson (James) and Erica Piell (Jeff); daughter, Melinda Carol Taylor (Troy) and their children, Troy Jr. (Anastasia), Brittany Meeks (Adam), and Selena Simmons (Zachary); as well as 11 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, and a large host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday April 14, 2026 from 5:00-7:00 pm and the funeral service will be Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at 2:00 pm in the Spry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Harrell and Rev. Larry Johnson officiating. Interment will be in Charity Baptist Church Cemetery.
