Betty Jane (Metzger) Koptis

Mrs. Betty Jane Koptis of Bluffton, SC passed away on January 2, 2026. She was born November 28, 1931, in Cleveland, Ohio, daughter of the late Mildred and Ernest Metzger. Mrs. Koptis was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Charles R Koptis and her sister Jeanette Krueger Kiessling. She is survived by her daughter, son-in-law and grandson, Lou Ann Hamilton (Dale) and Ryan Hamilton.

She was a loving mother, wife and devoted grandmother. Living in Italy and multiple states over the years she spent 40 working in the banking industry and Wesfam Restaurants, Inc. At Betty’s request, there is only a private family burial service at Maple Hill Cemetery on Saturday, January 10 at noon. She will be dearly missed.
