Betty Karen (Kirby) McCarley

Mrs. Betty K. McCarley, 77, of Athens, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at home.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, H. Charles McCarley, her grandsons, Ryan Evans and Jacob Ward, as well as many other dear family members.

She is survived by three daughters,  Kim Evans McFerrin (Russell), Deanna Swinford (Chris), and Denise Burgess (Charles); daughter in law, Kayla S. Evans; seven grandchildren, Rachel Evans (Collin), Dylan Evans, Wes Anderson (Emily), Hannah Anderson, Jayce Swinford, Isabelle Graham and Joseph Graham; and three great grandchildren,  Kylie Evans, Chloe Foutch and Presleigh Evans.

Mom was a wonderful,  loving Mom and Nana. Family meant everything to her.  We were all so blessed to have her in our lives.  She was an avid Alabama football fan,  never missed a game... Roll Tide Roll. She was such a creative artist and loved working in her flower gardens. 

At her request there will be no public service,  her family will honor her in the way she wished.

Thank you for the kind words, thoughts, prayers and memories.  We will miss her more than words can express.  She is with her heavenly family now and at peace.
