Betty Carolyn Hyde Ventre, 82, of Huntsville, passed away on December 31, 2021. Betty was born in Florence, Alabama on November 21, 1939 to Thoele Joseph Hyde and Irma Corrine Nunnally Hyde. She grew up in Florence and graduated from Coffee High School. She was employed by TVA in Muscle Shoals and IBM in Huntsville. While at IBM she worked as a clerk/typist on numerous NASA programs.

Betty married her husband Dr. Andrew James Ventre on December 26, 1965 in Scotch Plains New Jersey. Betty and Andrew lived in Huntsville until his death on October 18, 2020. After Andrew’s death, Betty lived at Regency Retirement Village in Huntsville.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband Andrew, mother Irma Corrine Nunnally Hyde, father Thoele Joseph Hyde, Sister Dora Beatrice Hyde Biggers and Brother David Ralph Hyde.

Betty is survived by nieces and nephews.
