Betty is survived by her son, James Alan Walker (Margaret); grandchildren, Jamie Moulder, Gregory Cook, Lauren Lambert, David Poteat, and Timothy Walker; great-grandchildren, Chase Peoples, Austin Lambert, Briana Moulder, Gage Lambert, Eleanor Cook, Ridley Cook, and one more on the way; and siblings, Nancy Renfroe and Barry Landman (Myra).
As a native of Huntsville, Alabama, Betty spent her life raising a family and working on Redstone Arsenal until her retirement at the age of 74.
Betty loved phone calls with friends, line dancing at the community center, shopping, meals with her family, Friday hair appointments, cheering at her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s sports games, sitting on the back porch, and listening to the music of Elvis Presley. She loved deeply and never had a cross word to say about anyone. She was loved greatly by family, friends, neighbors, nurses, doctors, and anyone who knew her. She will be missed but there is great comfort in knowing that she is now near those whom she has longed to see once again.
The Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. with a family graveside service to follow.
