Billie Faye (Smart) Smith

Billie Faye “Maw Maw” Smith, age 86, of Huntsville, Alabama passed away on Monday, September 20, 2021 at her residence. Maw Maw was born in Madison County, Alabama in 1935. She retired from Humana Hospital in Huntsville. She enjoyed being outside gardening, sipping on a cup of coffee, or spending time with family and her Angel dog. Billie is survived by her daughter: Kathy Flowers (Philip) and her son, Paul Smith (Michelle). She is survived by three sisters and two brothers: Marquita Isbell, Nettie Jobe, Betty Wilburn, Ronnie Smart and Lee Smart. She has 7 grandkids, 9 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, and a great host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Nye Smith “Paw Paw”, her father, Pete Smart and her mother, Cora Emerson (Frank). Her children Theresia Harding, Fred Mayes, and Joyce Smith. Her brothers and sisters, Hilda, Wilma, James, Joanne, Roger, June, and Donnie.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 12-2p at Spry Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 2p with Reverend Steve Sharp officiating. Burial will follow at Huntsville Memorial Gardens.
