Billy Joe Davis

Billy Joe Davis, 72, of Union Grove, Alabama, passed away peacefully in front of his big screen tv on November 28, 2025, with his wife Doyella Davis by his side.

B.J. was born on May 6, 1953, in Huntsville, Alabama, to Charlene Styles and Houston Davis. He graduated from Oroville High School in 1972.

B.J. married the love of his life Doyella Davis on May 31, 1989.

B.J. worked for General Shale brick company for 30 years but retired early to make more time for his hobbies. He was a fisherman and diehard Alabama football fan, although his greatest joy was becoming a papa when his grandkids where born.

B.J. will be remembered by most as a mean ole honorary man, but that was his way of showing his love. Whose life passion was to always take care of and provide for his family.

B.J. is preceded in death by his parents and his son, Billy Joe Davis Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Doyella Davis; son, Terry Davis; daughters, Tina Wilburn, Amy Lee Brunsman, and Kelly Summerford; grandkids, Tyler Mitchell, Kaitlyn Davis, Jordan Wilburn, Devin Davis, and Bryleigh Bous; brother, James Davis; and sisters, Barbara Morrison and Carla Davis.

He will be laid to rest at Hough Cemetery in Lacey Springs, Alabama, with family and friends.
