Bobbie Ann (Hargrove) Knox

Bobbie Ann Knox, age 90 of Madison, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2022. She was born December 10, 1931, to Roy Petty Hargrove and Mamie Sue Hughes Hargrove. Mrs. Knox was a beautician and ran her own business, “Bobbie’s Beauty Shop” serving the Monrovia community from the mid-1950s until the early 2000s. She was known as “Mamaw” by everyone that knew and loved her.

Mrs. Knox is survived by her son Dennis Knox; grandson Benjamin Knox (Shelley) and their children: Andrew, Abigail, and Jackson; granddaughter Dawn Thompson and her daughter Madelyn; granddaughter Melissa Robley (Ryan) and their children: Lily and Liam; and brother Wayne Hargrove. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred Knox; brothers: Roy Petty Hargrove, Jr. and Billy Hargrove; sisters: Jean Atkins, Brownie Sue Boyle, and Gayle Foote.

The visitation will be Tuesday, September 27, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home with the service to follow in the chapel. Gerome Hilliard will be officiating. The interment will be at Fowlkes Cemetery in Madison, AL.
