Bruce Leonard Woody Jr.

Mr. Bruce L. Woody Jr. 70, of Huntsville, AL passed away on Friday, February 15, 2019. Bruce was an avid runner, clocking over 1,000 miles a year for at least 35 years of his life. He was a veteran of the United States Army, proudly serving in the Army Reserve from 1968 to 1974. He retired in 2009, after working for over 35 years at PPG Industries. As a younger man Bruce enjoyed riding Harley Davidson Motorcycles with his brother Don, had a fondness for Corvettes and listening to music (a trait that was passed on to his children). In his later years, Bruce enjoyed spending time with his family especially his three grandsons.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Marie Louise (Hamlet) Woody and father Bruce Leonard Woody Sr.

He is survived by his wife Cynthia Irene (Pope) Woody, brothers; Donald Irvin Woody and Robert Windham Woody, sons; Bruce Leonard Woody III (Tanya) and Samuel Lee Woody, daughters; Rebecca Lynn Woody and Rachel Linette Frost (Michael), grandsons; Bruce Leonard (Leo) Woody IV, Patrick Russel Woody, and Ian Samuel Woody.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 22, 2019 at 1:30pm at Maple Hill Cemetery.
