Carrie Brown, 50, of Madison, Alabama, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Carrie was a devoted daughter, a loving mother, an adoring “Mimi”, and a cherished friend to many. She was known for her selfless heart, generous spirit, and her gift for making everyone around her feel valued and loved. Her greatest joy was her family, friends, and her JROTC family moments.
A proud veteran, Carrie honorably served her country for 22 years as a medic in the United States Army. She was awarded the prestigious Audie Murphy Award and carried the same compassion, courage, and dedication from her service into every part of her life, always placing the needs of others before her own.
Carrie’s life was a testament to strength, kindness, and faith. She faced life’s challenges with grace and determination, leaving behind a legacy of love that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Kayla Hendricks and Dylan Brown, and her beloved grandson, Jasper Hendricks.
“Those we love don’t go away; they walk beside us every day.”
“Her love was her gift, her strength was her legacy, and her life was our blessing. Some hero’s wear uniforms, some wear the title Mom, she wore both.”
