In Loving Memory of Christopher David Kalange
Christopher David Kalange, age 76, of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away peacefully at home on May 30, 2025. He was born on May 27, 1949, in Gainesville, Florida.
Chris was preceded in death by his parents, Michael A. Kalange and Margie Eakins Kalange, and his brother, Mike Kalange. He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, June Kalange; his sister, Kathy McElroy; and his two sons, David C. Kalange (Sue) and Jason M. Kalange (Sarah). He was a proud and devoted grandfather, known as “Papa,” to his granddaughter, Sydney Kalange.
Chris retired after a dedicated career as a contractor with NASA. He was a member of the Huntsville Gem and Mineral Society, where he especially enjoyed participating in outings and metal crafting classes, forming many friendships.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Grace Lutheran Church Building Fund or to Disabled American Veterans.
Services will be held, at Grace Lutheran Church on South Memorial Parkway, on June 19th, 2025. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with Memorial Service following at 11:00 AM.
