Claudia Ann Tate

Claudia Ann Tate 75 of Lincolnton, NC formerly of Meridianville, AL passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2021. She was born September 2, 1946 to C. T. and Claudia Tate in Madison County, AL. Ms. Tate was a member of Salem Baptist Church in Lincolnton, NC. She was a devout Christian and loved the Lord. She was also known by her family and friends for always telling everyone “good morning” and “good night” every day.

Ms. Tate is survived by her son Chris Garton; grandsons Jacob Garton and Casey Garton; sisters Jean McGill and Lorene Alvis; brothers Buddy Tate (Linda) and Doug Tate (Julia); and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Paula Garton; and sisters Louise Cooper, Ruby Fowler and Sue Hirst.

The family will receive friends Sunday, September 19, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home with the service to follow in the chapel at 2:30 p.m. Interment will be in Flint River Cemetery.
