Daniel Lee Robinson

Daniel Lee Robinson passed away peacefully on October 14, 2024, after a 16 month long battle with cancer. 

Daniel is the son of Glenda and the late Henry Otis Robinson. He was a 1994 graduate of Hazel Green High School. He attended UAH where he was a member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity. He transferred to the Huntsville Hospital School of Radiologic Technologies where he graduated with the highest GPA, in 2001. He has been employed by Huntsville Hospital for 28 years. Daniel has worked in Cat Scan since 2001, where he held many roles. In 2023, Daniel was awarded “Employee of the Year” in the Imaging Department because of his hard work, perseverance, and love for the job all while battling cancer. Daniel enjoyed his life in Cat Scan and made some incredible friendships that he cherished to the very end. His three best friends Rachel, Ellen, and Susan meant the world to him. 

Throughout his life, he held multiple jobs at once. Daniel has worked at Crestwood Medical Center, North Alabama ENT, and Huntsville Pediatric Associates. During his 25 plus years at HPA, he worked in the lab on the weekends. He loved his job there and enjoyed working with the nurses, his lab partners, and mostly the doctors. He has developed long lasting friendships and such good memories of his time there.

Daniel’s greatest joy was his family. In 2004, he married his best friend, Anna Pressnell and welcomed three children over the years; Luke, Ava Cate, and Graham. They rounded out their family with two dogs; Ellie and Zoey Jane.  Daniel loved discussing History and watching Shark Week with his oldest, Luke. His weekends in the fall were full of all things football. Thursday nights you would find him cheering at Graham’s games, Friday nights enjoying Ava Cate’s half time performance, Saturdays playing arm-chair quarterback for the Crimson Tide, and Sundays analyzing his fantasy football team. Whether he was taking Anna on joyrides in his jeep, or taking the kids to a Hot Wheels convention; Daniel enjoyed cars of all sizes. Collecting Hot Wheels is a hobby he shared with his brother, Brian. Unless he was in the mountains, Daniel was his happiest when he was at home, in his chair, with his family

His loved ones also include his siblings and their spouses; Hank and Kim, Mark and Kim, Brian, and Becky and James; in-laws Shirley and Ronnie Pressnell; brother-in-law Alan; aunt Carolyn; and nieces and nephews; Katherine, Chase, baby Marshall, Wyatt, Kelsey, Drew, Sam, Dana, Parker, Molly, Isabelle, Lily, Claire, Jake, Jewel Mae, Paige, Adam, Nova, and Ryker. 

Visitation and Funeral services will be held at Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville on Friday, October 18, 2024, from 1:00- 5:00, with service following at 5:00. Al Geise and Matt Smith will be officiating.
