David Robert Mercier

David Robert Mercier, 87, of Huntsville Alabama passed away peacefully on July 30, 2025. He was born on November 25, 1937, the son of the late Clyde and Alice Mercier.

David was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Patricia Stanley Mercier; one brother, Clyde Mercier Jr.; and two sisters, Lois Wilson and Susan Amilhat.

David is survived by his two sons and one daughter-in-law, Joseph Mercier and Gregory Mercier (Janet). David was also survived by five grandsons, Matthew Mercier (JoAnna), Stephen Mercier (Catherine), James Mercier (Candace), David Mercier (Katherine), and Adam Mercier (Julia).

He has one Great-Granddaughter on the way, Jacquelyn (daughter of James and Candace).

David grew up in Swanton Vermont and graduated from Clarkson College in New York. David was a Mechanical Engineer for NASA and retired after 38 years.

David was a loving husband and a devoted father and grandfather.
