Deborah Marquita (Shasteen) Shasteen

Deborah “Debbie” Shasteen, 67, passed away on February 24, 2026. Born on May 9, 1958, Debbie lived a life centered around love, family, and the simple joys that meant the most.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Wanda Dilworth Shasteen; her father, James Shasteen; her brother, James Shasteen Jr.; and her beloved granddaughter, Courtney Estes.

Debbie is survived by her son, Jack Torbert; her daughter, Heather Burnette (Josh); her grandchildren, Aubrey Burnette (Allen), Haley Henderson (Jacob), and grandson Mark Randall Reeder; her nephews, James “J.J.” Shasteen and Hunter Shasteen (Kayla) ; and her great-niece, Evie Shasteen.

Her greatest joy in life was her grandchildren. She absolutely thought the world of her granddaughters and loved them beyond measure. They were the light of her life and the center of her heart. She also adored her dog, Lizzie, who brought her comfort and companionship.

Debbie loved music and dancing — she found happiness in a favorite song and never missed a chance to move to the rhythm. Her laughter, her warmth, and the way she loved so deeply will be remembered by all who knew her.

Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort knowing her love lives on in each of us. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
