Diann (Dean) Morrison

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Diann Dean Morrison, who went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 24, 2025, at the age of 74. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and unwavering devotion to her family.

Born with a heart full of kindness and a spirit that radiated warmth, Diann was a beloved wife to Jerry, a devoted mother to Angela (Jason) and Wayne (Christie), and a cherished MawMaw to Emily, Bailey, Preston, and Jackson. She was also a loving dog mama to Lexi Dean, whose companionship brought her so much joy.

Diann worked for Huntsville City Schools for over 25 years as a secretary book keeper, the majority of which was spent at Lee High School, then retiring from Terry Heights Elementary. She was a favorite staff member among her students and many of them endearingly called her “Miss. Mo.”

Diann’s faith was the cornerstone of her life. A devoted Christian woman, she lived each day with grace and compassion, always placing her trust in the Lord. She found peace in His presence and shared His love through her actions—whether it was through a kind word, a helping hand, or a heartfelt prayer.

To know Diann was to know love. She had a gift for making those around her feel special, always offering a listening ear and an open heart. She was the embodiment of selflessness, dedicating her life to her family and those she held dear. Her laughter was a source of joy, her wisdom a source of guidance, and her unwavering faith a source of inspiration.

Diann never met a stranger and welcomed many into her ever expanding circle of friends and family who loved her in return. Friends and acquaintances alike have said that she was “precious to them” and had a BIG impact on the lives of so many. She remembered everyone she met and kept them all in her prayers. A stranger is a friend she hadn’t yet met.

While we grieve the loss of her presence here on Earth, we find comfort in knowing she has been welcomed into the arms of the Lord, reunited with her Mama, Papa, and big brother Pluitt. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those she touched, in the faith she so deeply cherished, and in the countless memories we hold dear.

A celebration of Diann’s life will be held at Spry Funeral Home on March 28, 2025 at 2:00 PM. The family will accept visitors from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Though she has left this world, her love remains with us always. Rest in peace, MawMaw, and Roll Tide Roll. XOXO.
