Dipika Das - beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and radiant presence - passed away after a brave journey with cancer on January 25th, 2026. Born on July 14th, 1949, her life was immense—full of bright and bold colors, warmth, laughter, and care that rippled outward to everyone fortunate enough to know her.
At her core, Dipu believed in abundance: abundant food, abundant hospitality, abundant love. She had a vibrant energy that filled a room before she ever spoke. Her laugh—easy and unforgettable—was often the spark that brought others closer together. To be in her presence was to feel welcomed, nourished, and at ease. Dipu’s care for others was instinctive and generous, expressed through her cooking, thoughtful check-ins, and a genuine attentiveness that made people feel deeply valued. She had a rare empathy, an ability to listen with her whole being, and she offered comfort in ways both big and small.
Dipu is survived by Tapas (husband), Tanya (daughter), Genevieve (daughter-in-law), Zain (grandson), and Naya (granddaughter). May her journey onward be filled with peace and light. May we honor her by caring for one another as generously as she cared for us—and by living, as Dipu did, with an open heart and a joyful spirit. Om Shanti.
Services will be held at Spry Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, January 31st, 2026 at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Foundation for Women’s Cancer (Home - Foundation For Women's Cancer).
