Donna Elizabeth (Franklin) Usry

Donna E. Franklin Usry, 71, passed away on Tuesday, May 30th. A 1969 graduate of Lee High School, Donna was a retired Registered Nurse. During her career she worked at Huntsville Hospital ER, Huntsville City Jail, and several doctor’s offices. She was an avid gardener, loved music and art, enjoyed cooking and baking, and loved her dog Rascal. She was totally devoted to her children and grandchildren. They were the light of her life.                                              

She is survived by her children: Carrie Childers Cloyd (Michael) and Neal Childers, grandchildren Ashlyn, Henry, and Nick, and great grandchildren Zoey and Lucy. She is also survived by her sister Lynn Kilgore and brother Burt Franklin (Susan). She has many adoring nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents: Lowell B (Bud) and Virginia Franklin.

A visitation will be held at Spry Funeral Home on Friday, June 2, 2023 from 10:00am until 11:00am. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am with Pastor Jeff Bennett of

Cornerstone Baptist Church officiating. A private burial will be held.
