Miss Eddie Faye Boyd from Harvest, Alabama, passed away peacefully at her home in Athens, Alabama at the age of 92 surrounded by family, friends and loved ones. She was born April 26,1932 in Huntsville, Alabama to A. and Dovie Armstrong.
Eddie met her husband Paul E. Boyd at a local movie theatre at the sweet age of 14 where he kept flipping the ribbon in her hair to get her attention. It was love at first sight and the two married on December 16, 1950. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. God and family was always first in everything she did.
Eddie found her love for working outside of the home by working as a manager at Ben Franklins. She was an active member at the Bay St. Louis Senior Center while living in MS. She absolutely loved working in her garden, in her flowerbeds or just sitting on the porch in her swing. She loved the beach and all things outdoors. She loved playing games, crafts and oil painting. Her favorite Holiday was Christmas, and her favorite time of the year was Springtime.
She was preceded in death by her parents, A. and Dovie Armstrong; grandson, Joshua M. Boyd, grandson, Tyler Craig Crutcher; son, Paul “Rick” Boyd; and siblings, Melvin Armstrong, Joe W. “Sharkey” Armstrong, Dorothy Peppers, Katherine Jordan, Roseine Young and Freddie Armstrong.
Survivors include her sister, Sue Fisher; children, David E. Boyd (Edie Boyd), Michael W. Boyd (Jackie Boyd); daughter-in-law, Arlene Johnson; grandchildren, Clayton Fitch, Blake Fitch, Carrie A. Crutcher (Craig Crutcher), Kim M. Kistler (Chris Kistler), Christopher M. Boyd (Andria Boyd), Tracy N. Boyd (Walter Newton), Jeremiah D.
