Edwin "Gene" Brown

Edwin Gene Brown, 68, of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and loved ones.

Edwin is survived by his wife Deborah of 47 years, son Paul (Amanda), Mother Carolyn, two nieces, Christy and Mary, a nephew, Kevin, two amazing grandsons, Steven, and Matthew, and Uncle Max (Brother). Edwin was a devoted father, husband, grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend.

Edwin loved sports, especially Alabama Football and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  His favorite pass time was to discuss sports with his son, Paul. Edwin served 22 years in the United States Airforce. Thereafter, he worked and retired from Humana and spent his last years with his loving wife Deborah.  He spent his free time watching various sports games, going to the movies, and spending time with family.

A special thank you to the people at Crestwood Hospital for their loving care and support during his final days. Also, the family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude toward Spry Funeral Homes, Inc. & Crematory for being especially accommodating and understanding during this difficult time.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Spry Funeral Homes, Inc. & Crematory on Monday, February 1. Funeral services for Edwin will be held at Spry Funeral Homes, Inc. & Crematory Tuesday, February 2 at 10:00 am.  Following the service, Edwin will be laid to rest at Marshall Memorial Gardens, in Albertville, AL., where an additional ceremony will be held.
