Elaine Anne (Wiswell) Alford

Elaine Anne Alford, age 81 of Grant, AL, passed away Saturday at a local hospital.  Elaine was born on November 3, 1942 in Barton, NY.  She graduated salutatorian of her high school class and proceeded to college where she graduated with her bachelor’s degree in special education, teaching emotionally handicapped children. After retirement she lived life to its fullest enjoying her family, reading books, sitting in the sunshine, worshiping God with her church ladies, shopping with her best friend Linda.  But most of all the love she gave and received from her many rescue dogs whom she is now reunited with in heaven.  Elaine loved everyone she crossed paths with. She always had a smile on her face and even in a bad situation found the positive. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald J. Alford.

She is survived by her eight children, Ronald L. Bellis Jr. (Sara Bellis), Lorelei H. Davis. and husband Lee, Damon S. Bellis, Janet S. Maynard, and husband John, Matthew L. Frutchey, Don Alford, and wife Cindy, D.J. Alford, and Bobby Alford; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family and friends

Arrangements have been entrusted to Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville.  There will be a celebration of life for Elaine at her home in Grant, Alabama on June 7th at 4:00pm. Bring your smiles because of course she had rules for her funeral. Only celebration and happiness.
