Emily Sue (King) McDonald

Emily Sue McDonald, age 85, passed away on September 18, 2025 in Madison, Alabama. Sue was born on December 3,1939 in Easley, Alabama and attended Oneonta High School. She attended The Brook Church in Madison, AL. 

She is survived by her husband of almost 56 years, Arthur McDonald. Sue has many family members who loved her including her 3 children: Steve Bellenger (Teresa), Renee Reed (Robert), and David McDonald (Alana). She was called "Grandmother" by her 8 grandchildren: Stephanie McMahn (Michael), Lindsey Wade (Josh), Matt Bellenger (Amy), Joshua Reed (Alesha), Brittney Reed, Austin McDonald, Andrew McDonald, and Brooke McDonald. She was also blessed with 3 great grandchildren. Sue has one living sister, Carolyn Roberts.

Sue loved everything in nature - flowers, birds, animals, and taking trips to the Smokey Mountains. Her favorite times were when the whole family was gathered together. Knowing that Sue is now healed and in Heaven, her family and friends can rejoice in the promise of seeing her again one day. 

Sue will be laid to rest beside her family at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in McClarty, AL. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her spirit lives on in the lives she touched, the laughs she shared, and the love she gave so freely. May her memory be a blessing and her kindness echo for generations to come.
