Gary Walter Ellison Sr.

Gary Walter Ellison Sr. passed November 18, 2022 in Huntsville, Alabama. He was born January 13, 1943 in Rome, Georgia. He was the son of Dewey Edward Ellison and Annie McCurley Ellison.

    Gary grew up in Floyds Springs community where he was a member of Floyd Springs Baptist Church. He graduated from Armuchee High School after which he served in the US Army.  He completed two tours in Vietnam. He was also a lifetime member of the American Legion and the Forty and Eight.

He was predeceased by Dewey Edward Ellison and Annie McCurley Ellison and a brother Gaines Walton Ellison

He is survived by his wife of 59 years Christine Higgins Ellison and his children Anne and Robert Book, Gary and Loretta Ellison, David and Jenny Ellison and seven grandchildren.
