Gene Harmon Dowdy

Gene Harmon Dowdy, born December 23, 1941, went to his heavenly home on February 8, 2026. 

Born in Florence, Alabama to Curtis and Jewel Smith Dowdy. He was the Co-Owner and Director of Sales for TVC Wholesale. Gene enjoyed  Alabama Football and attended games up until his health no longer allowed. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandson racing. He also loved watching the granddaughters grow and play out on Jamie's farm. He was a friend to so many and made everyone feel like family. 

Gene was preceded in death by both parents; brothers, Floyd, Fred and Jimmy Dowdy; and one sister, Barbara McMurtrey.

He is survived by sons, Dale Dowdy (Lisa) and Jamie Dowdy (Nicole); grandson, Dalton Dowdy; granddaughters, Laudie Mae and McKinley Jewel; step granddaughter, Grace Dutton (Steven); and step great grandchildren, Casen Dutton and Lynnlee Dutton.
