Geraldine Lizotte Obituary

Geraldine Lizotte, age 86, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2026, in Huntsville, Alabama, leaving behind a family who loved her deeply and will miss her always.

Born in 1939 in Claremont, New Hampshire, Geraldine was a woman of quiet strength, deep kindness, and unwavering devotion to the people she loved. From an early age, she knew the value of hard work, beginning in the shoe industry in New Hampshire. It was there that she met the love of her life, Paul Romeo Lizotte. Together they built a life centered on love, family, perseverance, and shared memories that would span a lifetime.

After marrying, Geraldine and Paul made their home in Attleboro, Massachusetts, where they raised their children. Those years were filled with the everyday moments that become the most cherished memories - family time, laughter, road trips, camping adventures, and the steady love of a mother who was always there. Geraldine later worked for many years in the eyeglass manufacturing industry, where she made many lasting friendships and was known for her warm heart and caring nature.

To her family, Geraldine was so much more than the roles she held. She was a loving wife, a caring mother, a proud grandmother and great-grandmother, and a gentle, dependable presence whose love was felt in both big moments and small ones. She enjoyed traveling throughout New England, going on camping trips with her children, and experiencing the joy of seeing new places, including a memorable trip to Europe. She gave freely of herself, always making time for others and for causes she believed were worthwhile.

Around 1991, as she and Paul approached retirement, they returned to Claremont, the town where her life began. There, Geraldine continued to work and devoted herself to caring for people with developmental disabilities. That work reflected the very heart of who she was - compassionate, patient, humble, and always willing to help someone in need.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Paul Romeo Lizotte; her daughter, Shelby Pereira and her husband, Gabriel Pereira, of Harrison, Maine; her son, Cully Granger, of Tunnel Hill, Georgia; and her youngest son, Todd Lizotte and his wife, LeeAnne Lizotte, of Hooksett, New Hampshire. She is also lovingly survived by six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, all of whom were a source of pride and joy in her life.

Geraldine will be remembered for her warmth, her selflessness, her quiet resilience, and the love she gave so freely. Her life was a gift to her family, and her memory will remain a blessing to all who knew her. Though she will be deeply missed, the love she shared and the example she set will stay in the hearts of those she leaves behind forever.

There will not be a formal funeral planned, however the family is planning a gathering of friends at a later date, during the summer months.
