Gladys Eloise (Worley) Sanders

Gladys Eloise Sanders, 102, of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2025.  A beloved member of her community, she was a long-time member of the West Huntsville Church of Christ. Before retiring in 2012, Gladys spent 49 years of her life blessing many generations of children through her work with the Child Nutrition Program at Huntsville High School.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Erby Sanders, and son, James Doyle Sanders.  She is survived by her grandsons, Jonathan Sanders and Adrian Sanders; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Sunday, March 2, from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Spry Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Monday, March 3, at 9:30 am, in the Chapel at Spry, with burial to follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory to Hospice of North Alabama.
