Gloria (Cook) Scott

Gloria Cook Scott passed away at home surrounded by her family Saturday March 27th. She is survived by her children Amy Nichols (Leland), Kimberley Bartel (Jason), and Gordon Scott, her grandchildren Cody, Wayne, Emily and Harrison. She is preceded in death by her parents Floyd and Dussie Cook, her brother Dennis Cook and her husband Wayne Scott.

Gloria was a hard worker who put herself (with the help of her family) through nursing school. She was a substance abuse counselor for many years, helping countless people overcome alcohol and drugs. She loved spending time with her grandbabies, gardening and drawing. She loved a good book.

She will be remembered as fiercely  devoted by her children, grandchildren and anyone who met her. She always said her greatest joy and greatest legacy was her children and then grandchildren.

While her family miss her terribly, they are thankful she is no longer in pain. 

Graveside Services for Ms. Gloria Scott will be held on Friday April 2, at 2pm at the Bostick/Stateline Cemetery in Elora, TN
