Gregory Phillip Budig

Gregory “Greg” P. Budig of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away unexpectedly on March 7, 2026, at the age of 66. A
proud graduate of Georgia Tech, Greg’s brilliance as an engineer led to a notable career with McDonnell Douglas
and Boeing for over 40 years. He is survived by his stepmother, Mary Jo Budig, and siblings, Cathy Steinfeld,
Cindy Budig, Melissa Collins, Christy Budig, Rebecca Benson, Bill Rusk, and Shannon Guest, along with many
nieces and nephews. Greg was preceded in death by his parents, George Budig and Mary Sue Budig. Memorial
gifts in Greg’s honor may be sent to Habitat for Humanity of Huntsville, Alabama, or to the charity of your choice.
