Guy Patrick Thompson Jr.

Mr. Thompson, 78 passed away at Windsor House in Huntsville, Alabama. He was a long time resident of Huntsville, he moved to Huntsville from Kentucky as a child and grew up in the area of South East Huntsville off Weatherly Road. He attended School at Huntsville High School and graduated in 1965. He went on to further his education at Calhoun Community College in Decatur, Al and Huntsville, Al. He had numerous degrees from Calhoun Community College and enjoyed studying photography and history. The most favorite things he liked to do were read and watch his grandchild grow up. Guy also did a lot of writing articles and book on the history of his family and wrote some articles for the Huntsville Times. He was a great photographer and enjoyed doing that work. He also enjoyed clogging and did that every week for years.

Guy worked as a computer draftsman at numerous locations on Redstone Arsenal over the years and did some work on the NASA Space Project during his career.

He is preceded in death by his son, William Tracy Thompson, and his parents, Guy Patrick Thompson and Helen Dean Cummings Thompson.

Survivors include his grandson, Jeremy Tracy Thompson; two great-grandchildren, Donna Faye Thompson and Bryson Lee Thompson of Huntsville, AL; sister, Susan Caudle; and husband, Daniel Caudle of Birmingham, AL.; sister, Teresa (Terri) Thompson of Lewisburg, Ohio; and brother, Alan Thompson of Huntsville, Alabama.
