Helen Rebecca (Ennis) Lowery, age 92 of Madison, took her heavenly flight on Friday. She was at her home of 50 years surrounded by her beloved family. She was born on April 1, 1929 to Frank Thomas Ennis and Lydia Virginia (Sturdivant Ennis at the Auburn Experiment Station in Limestone County. Helen worked hard as a farmer's wife but also worked at PR Mallory Co. and retired from Chesebosough Ponds as a quality control inspector. Helen was a charter member of Greenbrier Baptist Church established in 1942.
She was preceded in death her husband of 66 years Eugene Grant Lowery; her parents; granddaughter, Rebecca Ruth Lowery; brothers, Pete Ennis, Red Ennis, Clyde Ennis, Tom Ennis, and Donald Ennis, sisters, Irene Ennis, Donna Long, Hazel Blizzard (her twin), and Inez Springer.
Helen is survived by her children Carolyn Knox, and husband Bobby; Ricky Lowery and wife Mickie; Phillip Lowery, and wife Peggy, and Michael Lowery; her beloved and cherished grandchildren, Panda Jo Knox Wagner, Keith Knox, and wife Carmen, Brent Knox, Misty Haney, and husband Jeffrey, Nicole Lowery, Naomi Greene, and husband Jarrod, Michael Lowery, Victoria Lohsl, and husband Don, and Brook Land, and husband Jeff; great-grandchildren Danza Locke, Lydia Wagner, Gabby, Ethan, Dylan Knox, Callie, Preslie, Beaux Knox, Grant Haney, Ricky, David, Rebecca Lowery, Riley, Whitley, Harper Green, Helen, and Taylor Lohsle; Three great-great-grandchildren Vanna Claire Locke, Josiah Knox Reifers, and Eden Rose Reifers, and her beloved nieces and nephews.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville. Visitation and Services will be held at Greenbrier Baptist Church, 7939 Greenbrier Road, Madison, AL 35756, with the family receiving friends at 1:00pm. Services will follow at 2:00pm with Ricky Lowery officiating. Interment will follow at Madison City Cemetery.
The family wishes to thank everyone for their prayers, cards, visits, well wishes, food, and love shown during mothers confinement. She loved you all. We would also like to thank Comfort Care Hospice staff, especially Erin Pugh and Quitta Houston, for your precious and loving care of our mother.

Mrs. Lowery's grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
