Illiana Munoz

Iliana Muñoz passed away peacefully in Huntsville on October 19, 2024, after suffering a stroke & inoperable brain bleed.

Iliana Muñoz was born in Cuba on June 9, 1957. Relocating to the United States at a very early age with her parents, Orfelina Sarah & Roberto Muñoz, & brother, Robert, to Chicago, IL, then Miami, FL for the majority of her life, & ultimately Boaz, AL after retirement until her final days. She was a daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin & beloved friend of many. Survived by her brother, Robert Muñoz; three children: Arlyene Marie Ponce, Irene Crystal Santos, Robert Joseph Ponce, as well as her two grandchildren & two dogs.

She always dreamed about living by the mountainside, admiring nature’s beauty & luckily, was able to see it through. An extremely hard worker in the legal field, taking pride in any job she did. A music lover who you always count on to be one of the last on the floor as she danced the night away. 

We find peace knowing she is in a better place now in God’s hands & trust we shall see her again…
