Irene Zittlau (Zittlau) Buford

Irene Zittlau Buford, born in Kataneau, East Prussia, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2025, at the age of 82. She was surrounded by her loving family as she fell asleep in death.

For 53 years, Irene shared a deep and enduring love with her devoted husband, James Robert Buford. Together they built a life filled with joy, dedication, and unwavering support.

Irene's legacy lives on through her six daughters, three sons, and a multitude of cherished grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.
She was the heart of the family, and her loving spirit and kindness touched everyone who knew her.

Known for her compassion and generosity, Irene was always there to provide support and encouragement to her family and friends. She leaves behind a lifetime of beautiful memories
that will forever be treasured.

Irene will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her family finds solace in knowing that she is now at peace.

Irene dedicated her life to Jehovah in 1972. She was a faithful servant of Jehovah until she fell asleep in death

A Celebration of Life will be held on March 15, 2025 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, in Jackson, Alabama, at 1:00pm.
