James Charles Eakes

James Charles Eakes, 80, of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away at his residence on February 13, 2025.

Mr. Eakes is survived by his wife of 60 years, Faynell Gentle Eakes; his sons, Carl and Charles (Angie); granddaughters, Elizabeth Sanders (Derrick) and Cathleen Lowery (Ross); sisters, Lorine Jones (Claude), Pauline Chamblee (Jerry), and Betty Sue Marks (Michael); and four great grandchildren, one great grandson and three great granddaughters. He is preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Velma Eakes; and three brothers, Harold, Mac, and Billy Eakes. 

Services will be held on Sunday, February 16, 2025 at Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville with Visitation from 11:00am to 1:00pm and Funeral Service at 1:00pm. Interment will be at Green Valley Cemetery in Owens Cross Roads. Service will be officiated by Pastor Jimmy Lay.
