James Doyle Reese Jr

James Doyle Reese Jr., age 65, passed away on June 11, 2026, at Huntsville Hospital. 

Jim was born on December 2, 1960, in Decatur, Alabama, to Janice Harville and James Reese. Jim was preceded in death by his brother Johnny Reno.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Cindy Reese; mother, Janice Harville; his sisters, Shelia and Linda; his sons Daniel Reese and Josh Twilley, as well as Stephanie Kinkle and Chris Buford who he loved as his own children. He is also survived by two nephews Drew and Dillon as well as a niece Anna.

Jim was known for his love of NASCAR, neighborhood cookouts and good music. He enjoyed bringing people together, sharing stories, and creating lasting memories with those around him. His warm spirit, sense of humor, and appreciation for life's simple pleasures will deeply be missed. He was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend who touched the lives of many throughout his years. 

A Celebration of Life for close friends and family will be held in July. Details will be shared with loved ones at a later date.
