Janet (Engel) Camp

Janet Camp was born and raised in Davenport, Iowa. She moved to Huntsville in 1963. She is retired from AVEX Electronics where she served as Assistant to the President and was the Industrial Security Officer. She is a past member of the HOPE Place Board of Directors, past Board Chair and Board member for Junior Achievement of North Alabama, and Past Member of the Huntsville Chapter of the American Officers Association Board of Governors. She was a member of the AVEX Electronics chapter of the American Management Association and member of the AVEX Community Involvement Committee. She is a past volunteer with the Huntsville Community Chorus Association and with the Commercial Division of the United Way of Madison County. She was a member of the GFWC duMidi Woman’s Club.

Mrs. Camp was a member of Holmes Street United Methodist Church.

She is survived by daughters Susan Burns (Burt Burns) of Hendersonville, North Carolina, Tracey Foster (Frank Foster) of Gloster, Mississippi, by grandchildren Casey McCarty (Patrick) of Birmingham, Tara Adams of Nashville, Frank Foster (Christina) of St. Francisville, LA, Elizabeth Foster of Gloster, Mississippi, great-granddaughter Rayburn Foster and Goddaughter Melissa Charley.

A memorial service will be held at Holmes Street United Methodist Church in Huntsville, AL on Saturday, January 25th at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the charity or organization of your choice.
