Jesse Creston Martin Jr. (JC), 82, of Meridianville, Alabama passed away on November 18th, 2025. JC was born February 27th, 1943, in Hamilton County, Tennessee. He graduated from Kirkman High School in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
After high school JC worked for his father Jesse Martin Sr. as a salesman for Guaranteed Upholstery. After his father’s retirement JC purchased the business. He ran Guaranteed Upholstery until 2005.
In 1968 he was drafted into the Army. He was stationed in Fort Benning, Georgia and Fort Lee, Virginia. Then, he was stationed in Phu Bi, Vietnam with the 504th Military Police Company, 18th Brigade as a Company Armorer. He was responsible for maintaining and managing weapons and equipment for his unit.
JC was strong in his faith. He was an active church member at Cornerstone Community Church in Huntsville, Alabama for over 40 years. He dearly loved his church family.
He is preceded in death by his father Jesse Martin Sr. and Mattie Elizabeth Martin; sister Elizabeth “Faye” Huber, and brother Dean Wayne Martin (Brenda).
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Rita Martin; son Brian Martin; grandson Creston Martin; sister Joyce Wilkes (Glenn), many nieces and nephews, and cousins.
Services will be Sunday, November 23, 2025 at Spry Funeral Home, Huntsville, Alabama. Visitation is from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. with service to follow. The burial will be Huntsville Memory Gardens.
