Joe Donald Cobble

Joe Donald Cobble, 85, of Huntsville passed away Thursday, November 9, 2023. Mr. Cobble was a Tool Maker and retiree of the Sheet Metal Workers union. He coached youth sports earlier in his life; a former president of the Northeast Alabama Labor Council and in his later years was active in the Alabama Democratic Party.

Mr. Cobble is preceded in death by his parents, Lee Cobble and Sitha Lanford Cobble, his wife Lila Lemley Cobble, 4 brothers and 2 sisters. He is survived by 2 sons, Ronald (Connie) and Bobby, a sister, Addie Yamashita, 4 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends Monday from 4:00 – 6:30 pm at Spry Funeral Home. No services are planned. He will be laid to rest at Huntsville Memory Gardens.
