John T. Steadman, Sr.

John T. Steadman, Sr 86 of Huntsville, Al passed away Monday October 19, 2020 peacefully in his home. Mr. Steadman was born on August 12, 1934 in Choctaw County Mississippi, to John and Mease McKlemurry Steadman. He was a retired civil servant working for the Department of Army, prior to working for the Army he was a member of the Saturn V rocket design team.  Mr. Steadman is a Navy veteran who served in the Korean War and was a graduate of Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting with friends and family. He was a devout follower of  Jesus Christ. He was a wonderful husband, loving father and cherished brother.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ramona, parents, his brother, Henry (Hank), and 2 sisters, Mary Louise Hall and Genevieve Sheedy.   Mr. Steadman is survived by his son John, daughter in law Sandie, 3 grandchildren, Dr. Casey Steadman (Charlie), Callie Rothlisberger (Nathan), Dalton Steadman,  2 great grandchildren, Clementine and Juniper Patton, and 1 sister Joyce Lynchard.

The family will receive guests Friday October 23, 2020 from 1000 to 1200, at Spry Funeral Home with service immediately following visitation in the chapel at Spry Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, St Jude Children's Hospital, or to your favorite charity.
