Joyce (Michaels) Grear, 94, passed away February 4, 2025 at her home in Huntsville, after an extended battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
She was a native of Huntsville and attended Lincoln primary and secondary schools before marrying Robert Grear in 1951. Joyce accompanied Robert in his 20-year U.S. Air Force career living in destinations including Morocco, Montana, Guam, California, and England before returning to Huntsville. Joyce was a life-long member of Lincoln Church of Christ. She cherished the fellowship and friendships of her church family.
Joyce was preceded in death by her beloved husband Robert, mother Daisye Michaels, father Finus Michaels, and siblings Hazel Michaels, Mary Alice Sharp, and Kenneth Michaels.
She is survived by her brother Sidney Michaels (Marybeth) of Alaska, daughter Kathy Seibert (Larry), granddaughter Angela Sobczynski (Tom), great-grandsons Christian and Joseph Sobczynski, all of Huntsville.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Spry Funeral Home in Huntsville, with visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Funeral service, led by Ron Williams of Lincoln Church of Christ, will begin at 1:00 p.m., with burial at Maple Hill Cemetery immediately following,
