Lauren Smith Obituary

Lauren Elizabeth Godbold Smith was born on November 27, 1953, in Memphis, TN to Doris Lockheart Godbold and Duncan Leon Godbold. She passed away on February 2, 2026, at the age of 72.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, William Richard Smith Sr.; her son, William Richard Smith Jr of Edmond, Oklahoma; her daughter, Stephanie Dawn Stanley (Mike) of Gurley, AL; her granddaughters, Alexandra Elizabeth Stanley of Troy, AL and Isabella Grace Stanley of Gurley, AL; her sister, Leslie Ragan (Kevin) of Franklin, TN; and many nieces and nephews.

Lauren was an avid reader and loved games, trivia, and shopping for her grandchildren.

At Lauren's request, no services will be held.
