Lee Chester Lindgren

Lee Chester Lindgren, age 81, passed away on June 28, 2026 in Madison, Alabama.  He was born to Carl and Stasia Lindgren in Worcester, Massachusetts on December 3, 1944. A graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute, he was by trade a Mechanical Engineer. He was also an Old Vet from an Old War, and among the best of his generation.  He served in the US Air Force with the 555th Fighter Squadron for three tours during the Vietnam War. He retired in 1998 as a Technical Sergeant with the 187th Fighter Wing of the Alabama Air Guard based at Dannelly Field in Montgomery.

Lee settled his family in North Alabama in January 1986 working for the TVA. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Madison, Alabama, and a lifetime member of the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter #1067. He loved his wife, his children, his grandchildren and was passionate about his hobbies such as racing, wargames, history, sports and firearms.  He never a met a stranger. 

He is survived by his beloved wife Paciencia; his children John and Melinda, William and Cristie, Paul and Rebecca, and Joelle and Ryan; as well as his loved ones, Giovanna, Josh, Noah, Robert, Felicity, Charlotte, Trenton and Christian.

Visitation will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church at 11:00am on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 to be followed by Mass. Donations can be made in his honor towards the Vietnam Veterans of America at vva.org to support our Old Vets.
