Linda Sue (Reid) Gurley

Linda Sue (Reid) Gurley, 78, of Huntsville, Alabama passed away July 17th, at home.

Linda Sue was born on May 31, 1946, in New Market, Alabama. She attended and graduated from Buckhorn high school in New Market in 1964. She worked for the Madison County Circuit Court until her retirement. She was married to Shelby Lee Gurley Jr. on July 11, 1976. She loved to cheer on her favorite team, the Alabama Crimson Tide. Her favorite singer was Elvis Presley and one of her favorite memories was seeing him live in concert. She was magnificent mother to Michael Shelby Gurley and a devoted wife to Shelby Lee Gurley.

She is survived by her son, Michael (Amber) Gurley; sister, Bettie Gentle (Reid); and brother, Billy (Carolyn) L. Reid.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville, where the family will receive friends Friday, July 19th, from 5:00 - 8:00pm. The funeral service will be led by Pastor Ed Johnson on Saturday, July 20th at 11:00am in Spry Funeral Home's Chapel.  Interment will immediately proceed at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
