Lorene McLemore Beckham, 97, of Huntsville, AL went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, November 17, 2021.
She spent her life selflessly caring for others and her love of family was evident. Those blessed to call her mother, grandmother, or great-grandmother were showered with affection and always reminded to “get right with the Lord.”
She was proceeded in death by her husband, Clifford and son, Dwayne; sisters, Mauvelin Thomas (twin), Cecil Davis, Bessie Springer, Mildred Paulk, and Helen Rushing.
She is survived by daughter, Betty Mahone; granddaughters Shrail Heinrich (Steve), Amanda Hanish (Nathan), and Michelle Diebold; brother, Jimmy McLemore; plus, five great-grandchildren.
Lorene was an amazing cook. Peach cobblers, chocolate pies, and cocoa gravy were requested often. You could hear her singing from the kitchen too. She loved music and even dabbled in song writing herself.
Visitation will be Sunday morning at Spry Funeral Home in Huntsville. Family and friends are invited to join the graveside service at 11am on Sunday, November 21st, Huntsville Memory Gardens. Her nephew, Jack Thomas, will be officiating.
