M. Jane Johnson

Jane retired after teaching kindergarten through high school for 44 years.  The last 17 years of her career were in San Antonio, TX. Also during her career, she owned and operated 2 nursery school and day care centers, as working with young children was her passion.
After retiring, she and her husband moved to Ardmore, AL, to be  near her daughter, Susan. After fighting Alzheimer’s for the last several years, Jane lost her battle on April 19, 2020 at Whitesburg Gardens in Huntsville, AL, at the age of 83. She is survived by her Husband Earl (John) Johnson of Ardmore, AL; 2 Sons: John R. Becker of Pewee Valley, KY and William F Becker of Carson City, NV; 3 Daughters: Eve (Becker) Firth of Phillipsburg, NJ; Susan (Becker) Penfield of Huntsville, AL; and Melissa (Johnson) Alves of Schertz TX. She also leaves behind 6 grandsons, 6 granddaughters, 4 great-grandsons, 4 great-granddaughters, 1 great-great-grandson and 1 great-great-granddaughter.  In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Alzheimer's Association.
