Margaret Allen Obituary

Born on August 13, 1933 in Capshaw, Alabama as the oldest of 7 children to Pryor and Lucy Pike. She died peacefully at home on April 18, 2026 with family by her side.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Pryor and Lucy Pike; her sister, Mary Annerton; her brothers, Lawrence “Buddy” Pike, Jimmy Pike, Wayne Pike, and Billy Pike; her daughter, Sherry Stone Kincaid, her son, Jahnson Stone; son-in-law, Mark Semmler;  her husband, Lloyd Allen; and the father of her children, Billy Ray Stone.

She is survived by her sister, Lois “Sitter” Gold; sister-in-law, Suzette Pike; her son, Kenny Stone; her daughter, Cindy Stone Semmler; and son-in-law, David Kincaid. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Shannon Rogers Martin, Russell Semmler, Savannah Semmler, Brandi Semmler, Sydney Stone, Jon Alica, Sarah Pounds, Tony McElyea, Andrea Scott and Ashton Crumbley. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Logan and Landon Martin and Theo Piatz, along with many nieces and nephews, special friends who were like family, whom she loved dearly.

She worked for many years at Kroger and Big Brothers Grocery Stores before opening her own home daycare, where she became “Nanny” to many children and families. She loved children deeply and devoted much of her life to caring for them. After closing her daycare, she worked at M&S Computing, Inc, which later became Intergraph for many years before retiring in 1993. She later moved to Roswell, Georgia and Aurora, Illinois, where she enjoyed helping care for her grandchildren and neighborhood children for several years. She returned to Alabama in 2005 where she enjoyed trips to Ardmore with her sisters and nieces to buy lottery tickets and scratch-offs; spending precious time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, watching The Price is Right and Alabama football. She loved traveling to visit friends and family. She will be remembered for her loving heart, strong spirit, devotion to family, spunky attitude, and the joy she brought to those around her.

The family would like to thank her hospice nurse, Zane for his compassion, dignity and care provided and SouthernCare New Beacon.

A celebration of life will be in August and information will be provided by the family on a later date.
